Starting in March of 2006, a variety of Red Slate songs have received daily airplay on Aries' Era internet radio. As of June 2008, Aries Era continues to include Red Slate's music on the playlist and can be heard at: www.live365.com/stations/dv4012 . New Age and relaxing ambient music are played on Aries' Era. Take a listen!

Jacob Arnold, Red Slate's percussionist, took 1st place out of a field of 20 entrants in his school talent show. Jacob played his self-composed drum solo (which can be heard in our music section) for the show and won a cool 125 dollars. The money was promptly used for some new drum hardware...........congratulations, Jacob!

During a June trip to Greenland, Greg did a one half hour radio interview/show on Red Slate with Virna Fencker on 99.0 Ilulissat Radio, Greenlandic National Radio, (KNR) in Ilulissat, Greenland. Along with the interview, 4 songs were aired- "Keeping it Real", "Over the Mountain",
"Hidden Bannana Jam", and "Medieval Times". Special thanks go to Virna Fencker for doing a great job interviewing and translating into Greenlandic for the broadcast! Check the photo section of the website for pictures taken during this broadcast in the studio.

Mystic Soundscapes Radio has added "Storm on Trinidad", from our Dragonfly CD to their playlist this July! Mystic Soundscapes plays new age and ambient music, and can be listened to at www.mysticsoundscapes.com.

Red Slate made a debut on internet radio in February, 2006 and have continued daily airplay through July, 2007 on "Circle of Souls" Pagan Radio. Songs from all three of our Cd's- "Best of Four", "Dragonfly", and "Free" have aired on the Pagan Radio Network. Greg joined Springhill recording artist and Native American Music Award Nominee Golana (Scott Cunningham) for some improvisation at the Wrightwood Music Festival on September 3rd, 2006. Spirit Within New Age Radio, (www.live365/stations/spiritwithin), played "Autumn Chill" and "Over the Mountain" from the Dragonfly CD from March until December! Spirit Within plays New Age, Easy Listening, and Classical music. Give them a listen live on the internet......good stuff!

Red Slate performed at the "Music in the Pines" concert series on July 13, in Wrightwood, CA. Songs from all three Cd's were played, and special guest Tanner Duman joined Red Slate on accordion for "Shaboink". Special thanks to all fans and friends who came out to see Red Slate! "Dragonfly" has been accepted for airplay on KASU Arkansas State University Radio 91.7! The station has 3 acoustic music shows- "Americana Crossroads", "Down Home Harmonies", and "Tradition". Check the "links" section of the website for a link to KASU 91.7.
